From any point in Ouachita National Forest, navigate to US-70 E and take it towards Durant. Continue on US-70 E for approximately 30 miles. Once you reach Durant, take the exit for OK-199 N. Follow OK-199 N for about 5 miles, and you will find Fort Washita Historic Site on your right at 3348 OK-199. Parking is available on-site free of charge.
