Walking
From the center of Bahla, head north towards the main road. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with the Al Hamra road. Turn left onto Al Hamra road. Keep walking for about 3 kilometers, enjoying the scenic views of the surrounding hills and traditional Omani architecture. Once you reach the village of Al Hamra, follow the signs directing you to Old Al Hamra village, which will be located off to your right. The attraction is well-marked and you will see the traditional mud-brick buildings as you approach.
Local Bus
If you prefer to use public transport, you can take a local bus from the main bus station in Bahla. Look for a bus heading towards Al Hamra. The ride takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Al Hamra, ask the driver to drop you off near Old Al Hamra village or follow the signs directing towards the village. The village is a short walk from the bus stop.
Bicycle Rental
For a more adventurous option, consider renting a bicycle in Bahla. Many local shops offer bike rentals. Start your ride heading north towards Al Hamra road. The ride is approximately 3 kilometers and offers beautiful views of the landscape. Once you reach Al Hamra, follow the signs to Old Al Hamra village which is easily accessible by bike.
