Car
If you are driving, start from Salalah, the capital of Dhofar Governorate. Head southeast on Sultan Qaboos Street (Route 49) towards the town of Taqah. After approximately 30 kilometers, take the exit towards Route 33, continuing for about 10 kilometers until you reach the Khor Rori archaeological site. Look for signs indicating the site, which is located near the coast.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, take a local bus or a shared taxi from Salalah to Taqah. Buses frequently depart from the Salalah bus station and the journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once in Taqah, you can hire a taxi to take you to Khor Rori, which is about 10 kilometers away. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; it usually costs around 5-10 OMR.
Walking
If you're already in Taqah and prefer to walk, you can walk to Khor Rori. From the main square in Taqah, head east towards the coast, following the signs to the archaeological site. The walk is approximately 10 kilometers and will take around 2-3 hours. Ensure you have water and sun protection as it can get hot during the day.
