Getting There

Car
From Jebel Shams, head southeast on the main road towards Saiq. Continue for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction at Saiq. Turn left at the junction and follow the signs to Jabal Akhdar. After about 10 kilometers, you will arrive at the entrance to Jabal Akhdar. Please note that there is an entrance fee of approximately 5 Omani Rials per vehicle.

While there is no direct public transport from Jebel Shams to Jabal Akhdar, you can take a taxi from Jebel Shams to Saiq, which will cost around 10-15 Omani Rials. Once in Saiq, you can hire another taxi to take you to Jabal Akhdar for approximately 5 Omani Rials. Be sure to negotiate the fare with the taxi drivers beforehand.
