Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Muscat. Head southeast on Sultan Qaboos Street (Route 1) towards the Al Khuwair area. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Al Ghubra Street. Turn left onto Al Ghubra Street and follow it until you see signs for Amirat. After about 10-15 minutes, turn onto the road leading to the Amirat area. Once you reach the village of Amirat, follow the signs to the viewpoint. Parking is available near the viewpoint, but be aware that spaces can fill up quickly on weekends.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from the central bus station in Muscat. Look for buses heading towards Amirat or the surrounding areas. The bus fare is typically around 0.500 OMR (Omani Rial). Once you arrive at Amirat, you may need to ask locals for directions to the Amirat Viewpoint, as it can be tricky to find. Be prepared for a short walk uphill to reach the viewpoint.
Walking
If you are already in the Amirat area or nearby, walking to the viewpoint is a great option. From the center of Amirat, look for signs or ask locals for directions. The walk involves some uphill sections, so be prepared for a bit of a hike. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially in warmer months.
