    If you are driving, start from the center of Muscat. Head east on Sultan Qaboos Street (also known as the main highway) towards the Royal Opera House. Continue straight for about 5 kilometers until you reach the roundabout at Al Qurum. Take the first exit to stay on Sultan Qaboos Street. Drive for another 3 kilometers, and you will see the Al Alam Palace on your left. The National Museum of Oman is located directly opposite the palace on Al Saidiya Street. There is parking available nearby.

    To reach the National Museum of Oman using public transportation, take bus number 1 from the Muscat Central Bus Station, which is located in Ruwi. The bus runs frequently and will take you directly towards the Al Alam Palace area. Inform the driver that you are heading to the National Museum. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the stop near Al Alam Palace. The museum is located just across the street. Follow the pedestrian path to cross Al Saidiya Street to reach the entrance.
