Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Mutrah Souq, exit the souq and head towards the waterfront area. Walk along the Corniche towards the east until you reach the statue of Sultan Qaboos. From the statue, continue walking along the Corniche, which will lead you to the Al Bahri Road. Once you reach Al Bahri Road, turn left and walk for about 10 minutes. Al Jalali Fort will be visible on your left side, perched on a hill near the coastline.

  • Public Bus

    From the Ruwi Bus Station, board a bus heading towards Mutrah. The ride will take around 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Mutrah area, get off at the Mutrah Souq stop. From there, follow the walking instructions mentioned above to reach Al Jalali Fort.

  • Taxi/Carriage

    You can also find taxis or traditional carriages (called 'dhow rides' in some areas) around popular tourist spots like the Mutrah Souq. Simply tell the driver to take you to Al Jalali Fort.
