    If you are in the city center, head to the nearest bus stop. Look for buses heading towards Al Alam Palace. The bus number you should take is 1 or 8. Once on the bus, stay on for about 15 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Al Alam Palace'. From there, the National Museum of Oman is directly opposite the palace. You will see the museum entrance right across the street.

  • Taxi

    You can easily hail a taxi from anywhere in Muscat. Just make sure to tell the driver you want to go to the 'National Museum of Oman, opposite Al Alam Palace'. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, the museum entrance will be directly opposite the Al Alam Palace.

  • Walking

    If you are staying near the Al Alam Palace, you can walk to the National Museum of Oman. Simply exit the palace grounds, and walk south on Al Saidiya Street. The museum will be on your left hand side, just across the street from the palace entrance. It’s a short, pleasant walk of about 5-10 minutes.
