Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Mutrah Corniche, walk towards the Mutrah Souq. Once you reach the souq, exit towards the main road (Al Bahri Road). From Al Bahri Road, head east for about 500 meters until you see Sultan Qaboos Street. Turn left onto Sultan Qaboos Street and continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You'll pass by the Royal Opera House on your right. Keep walking straight, and soon you will see the Riyam Monument on your right.

    If you are near the Mutrah area, find a bus stop on Sultan Qaboos Street. Board the bus heading towards Ruwi or Al Khuwair. Inform the bus driver that you want to get off at the Riyam Monument stop. Once you get off the bus, walk towards the monument which will be just a short distance away.

    Find a local taxi in the city center or ask your hotel to arrange one. Inform the driver that you wish to go to the Riyam Monument. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Taxis in Muscat are relatively inexpensive and can take you directly to your destination.
