Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Mutrah Corniche, walk towards the east along the waterfront promenade. Enjoy the beautiful views of the sea and the mountains. Continue walking for about 15 minutes until you reach the base of the hill where Mutrah Fort is located. You will see a path leading up to the fort. Ascend this path, which is well-marked, and follow it for approximately 10 minutes until you reach the entrance of Mutrah Fort.

From anywhere in Muscat, you can catch a public bus that goes to Mutrah. Look for buses heading towards ‘Mutrah’ or ‘Mutrah Souq’. Once you arrive at the Mutrah Souq stop, exit the bus and head towards the waterfront. Walk along the Mutrah Corniche for about 10 minutes towards the east until you see the path leading up to Mutrah Fort on your right. Follow this path to reach the fort.
