Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the Mutrah area, start at the Mutrah Souq. From the Souq, head southeast toward the waterfront. Walk along the Al Bahri Rd, which runs parallel to the coast. Continue walking for about 15 minutes until you reach the Mutrah Fort, located at JHC8+6R4 on Al Bahri Rd. The fort is situated on a hilltop and offers a great view of the surrounding area.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From the Ruwi bus station, take Bus No. 1 that heads towards Mutrah. Inform the driver that you need to stop at the Mutrah Corniche. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you get off, walk towards the coast and turn left to head along Al Bahri Rd. The Mutrah Fort will be about a 10-minute walk from the Corniche, and you will see signs directing you towards the fort.

• Taxi

  You can easily hail a taxi from any location in Muscat. Tell the driver to take you to Mutrah Fort, located at JHC8+6R4, Al Bahri Rd. The taxi ride should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Taxis in Muscat are generally safe and reliable.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops near the Mutrah Souq. Once you have your bike, head southeast towards the Al Bahri Rd. Cycle along the coastal road for about 15 minutes until you reach the Mutrah Fort. There are bike lanes available along the waterfront, making for a scenic ride.
