Car
If you're driving to Wadi Shab Riverbed, start from Muscat and take the route via the Muscat-Sur highway (Route 23). After approximately 1.5 hours, you'll reach the town of Tiwi. Look for the signs directing you to Wadi Shab. As you approach the entrance, you’ll see parking areas available for visitors. The entrance to Wadi Shab is about 15 minutes from the parking area.
Public Transportation
To reach Wadi Shab using public transportation, you can take a bus from Muscat to Sur, which typically departs from the main bus station in Muscat. Upon arrival in Sur, you can catch a taxi to Wadi Shab. The taxi ride should take about 30 minutes and cost around 10 Omani Rials. The taxi will drop you at the entrance of Wadi Shab, where there are facilities to park your vehicle if needed.

Upon reaching the entrance of Wadi Shab, you will need to take a small boat across the river to access the hiking trails leading to the riverbed. This boat ride costs about 1 Omani Rial per person and is a short, scenic journey that typically lasts just a few minutes.
