The trailhead is situated approximately 18 miles from the beginning of the scenic byway. Look for the road labeled 'Fall Creek Trail' which leads directly to the trailhead. As you approach, the road will become narrower and more winding. Ensure to drive carefully as there may be cyclists or hikers in the area. Upon arrival, you will find a parking lot where you can leave your vehicle. There is no parking fee, but be aware that the lot can fill up quickly during peak seasons.

For those relying on public transportation, start by taking a bus from Bend to the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway. The closest bus stop to Green Lakes Trailhead is at the Elk Lake Resort. From there, you can either hike or arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you the final 6 miles to the trailhead.
