If you are driving, start on Interstate 84 and take exit 44 toward Cascade Locks. Follow the signs for Historic Columbia River Highway (HCRH) and merge onto the highway. Continue on HCRH for approximately 4 miles. Ponytail Falls will be located along the highway on your right. Look for a small parking area off the road where you can park your vehicle. Please note that parking may require a Northwest Forest Pass, which can be purchased at local ranger stations or online.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take the Columbia Gorge Express bus service from Portland to Cascade Locks. Once you arrive at the Cascade Locks stop, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile along the Historic Columbia River Highway to reach Ponytail Falls.
