    Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major city, which is Portland, Oregon. From Portland, take I-84 East for about 30 miles. Then, take exit 40 for OR-30 W toward St. Helens. Continue on OR-30 W for approximately 12 miles, then turn left onto the Historic Columbia River Highway (US-30). Follow this scenic road for about 5 miles until you reach the entrance to the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The parking area for Triple Falls is located at the Wahkeena Falls Trailhead. There is a parking fee of $5 per vehicle for day use; make sure to have cash or a credit card ready to pay.

    Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, take the MAX Light Rail from downtown Portland to the Gateway Transit Center. From there, transfer to the Columbia Gorge Express bus service. The bus will take you directly to the Columbia River Gorge area. Make sure to check the schedule for the Columbia Gorge Express, as it operates on a limited basis, particularly during the off-peak season. You will need to get off at the stop for Multnomah Falls. From there, it is about a 1.5-mile hike to reach Triple Falls, following the Wahkeena Falls trail. Ensure you wear appropriate hiking shoes and bring water for the trek.
