To reach Pilot Butte using public transportation, check the local bus services provided by Cascades East Transit. Take any bus route that goes to the downtown Bend area. Once you arrive in downtown Bend, you can walk to Pilot Butte, which is about a 1.5-mile hike from the nearest bus stop at the corner of NW Wall St and NW Franklin Ave. Follow NW Wall St south until you reach Pilot Butte Ave, then head east on Pilot Butte Ave to reach the viewpoint. Note that bus schedules may vary, so it's advisable to check the current schedule and routes ahead of time.
