    If you're starting from Bend, OR, head east on E 3rd St toward NE Franklin Ave. Continue onto US-20 E. After about 4.5 miles, merge onto OR-97 S. Drive south for approximately 9 miles, then take the exit for the OR-31 S. Continue on OR-31 S for about 12 miles until you reach the Oregon Badlands Wilderness entrance, which is located near mile marker 6 on the east side of the highway. There is no entrance fee, but be prepared for unpaved roads once you enter the wilderness area.

    While there is no direct public transportation to the Oregon Badlands Wilderness, you can take a bus from Bend to La Pine via the Cascades East Transit.
