Car
From Bend, Oregon, take US-97 South toward Klamath Falls. After about 30 miles, merge onto OR-62 East toward Crater Lake. Continue on OR-62 for approximately 45 miles until you reach the intersection with OR-230 North. Take OR-230 North, which will lead you to the town of Oakridge. Once in Oakridge, turn left onto OR-58 West and then right onto the Willamette Highway. Follow the highway until you reach the turn-off for Toketee Falls. The GPS coordinates are 43.2633 latitude and -122.4337 longitude, which will lead you to the parking area. Keep in mind that there is a parking fee of approximately $5 per vehicle.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, your best option is to take a bus from Eugene to Oakridge via the Lane Transit District (LTD). Once in Oakridge, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Toketee Falls, as there is no direct public transport to the falls. Be sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time, as they may vary. The approximate cost from Eugene to Oakridge is $10-$15. Once you arrive in Oakridge, expect to pay about $30-$50 for a taxi to Toketee Falls. Make sure to confirm the availability of taxi services in advance.
Bike
For those who enjoy biking, you can bike from Oakridge to Toketee Falls. The distance is about 20 miles, and you will be traveling primarily on OR-58. It’s a scenic but challenging route with some elevation changes. Ensure your bike is in good condition and you're equipped with a helmet, water, and snacks. The ride offers beautiful views of the surrounding forest and mountains. Allow approximately 2-3 hours for this journey, depending on your fitness level.
Hiking
If you're an avid hiker, you can reach Toketee Falls by hiking from the Toketee Lake Trailhead. This hike is approximately 1 mile round trip and is considered moderate in difficulty. Follow the well-marked trail to the falls, which will take you through beautiful forested areas. Be sure to wear sturdy hiking shoes and carry water. This trail is accessible from the Toketee Lake parking area, which has a small fee for parking.
