Car
If you are traveling by car within Central Oregon, you can easily reach Redmond Caves. Start by getting onto US-97 N from your location. If you're coming from Bend, take US-97 N for about 17 miles. Once you reach Redmond, take the exit for SE Airport Way. Follow SE Airport Way until you see signs for Redmond Caves Recreation Site. The caves are located at the end of SE Airport Way, just a short drive past the airport. There is no entry fee to access the caves, but parking is available.
Public Transportation
For those relying on public transportation, start by taking a bus from your location to the Redmond Transit Center. Check local schedules for the best routes, typically operated by Cascades East Transit. Once at the Redmond Transit Center, you can take a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to reach Redmond Caves, which is about 3 miles from the transit center. The cost of a taxi may vary, but expect to pay around $10-$15.
Biking
If you enjoy biking, Redmond Caves is accessible via bike trails. From downtown Redmond, head south on the Dry Canyon Trail. Follow the trail until you reach SE Airport Way, then turn left. The caves are located just a short ride from the trail. Ensure you bring water and snacks for your ride and a flashlight for exploring the caves, as it can get dark inside.
