Car
If you're driving, start from Portland, OR. Take I-84 E towards The Dalles. Take exit 18 for Corbett, and turn onto E Historic Columbia River Hwy. Follow the highway for about 6 miles. Look for the sign for Wahkeena Falls and Fairy Falls Trailhead on your right. There is a small parking area where you can park your car. Note that parking may be limited, especially on weekends.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the MAX light rail (Blue Line) from downtown Portland towards Hillsboro. Get off at the Gateway Transit Center and transfer to the Columbia Gorge Express bus service. The bus will take you to the Columbia River Gorge area. Get off at the stop for Wahkeena Falls. From there, you can hike to Fairy Falls by following the Wahkeena Trail #420. Be sure to check the schedule and confirm fares for the bus service ahead of time.
Hiking
Once you reach the Wahkeena Falls Trailhead, begin your hike on the Wahkeena Trail #420. The trail is well-marked and offers beautiful scenery along the way. The hike to Fairy Falls is approximately 1 mile and can take about 30 minutes depending on your pace. Keep an eye out for trail signs directing you to Fairy Falls, which will be accessible via a short side trail.
