Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the nearest major city, Portland, Oregon. Take I-84 East towards The Dalles for about 40 miles. Take exit 44 for Cascade Locks/Bridge of the Gods. After exiting, turn left onto Cascade Ave, then continue straight until you reach the junction with Hwy 30. Follow this road for about 2 miles until you reach the Lobster Claw viewpoint, located at HVGP+GW, Cascade Locks, OR 97014. There is parking available nearby.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the MAX Light Rail from Portland to the Gateway Transit Center. From there, take the Columbia Gorge Express bus service heading to Hood River. Request a stop at Cascade Locks. Once you arrive in Cascade Locks, you can walk to the Lobster Claw viewpoint, which is approximately 1 mile from the bus stop. Ensure to check the bus schedule for return trips, as service may be limited.
Walking
