If you are driving, start on I-84 E from any location in Columbia River Gorge. Exit onto Cascade Locks Hwy/US-30 E (Exit 44). Continue on Cascade Locks Hwy for about 1.5 miles. Follow signs for Upper Oneonta Falls. There is a parking area near the falls, where you can leave your car and begin your short hike to the falls.

To reach Upper Oneonta Falls via public transportation, take the Columbia Area Transit (CAT) bus service from Hood River or other nearby towns. Check the current schedule for the route that goes towards Cascade Locks. Once you arrive at the Cascade Locks stop, you may need to walk approximately 1 mile along Cascade Locks Hwy to reach the trailhead for Upper Oneonta Falls. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as the path might be uneven.
