Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Hood River, OR. Head south on Highway 35 for approximately 20 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 26. Turn left onto Highway 26 and continue for about 20 miles. You will then merge onto Highway 197 south. Follow Highway 197 for about 18 miles until you see signs for White River Falls State Park. Turn left onto White River Road, and the park entrance will be on your left shortly after.

If you're using public transportation, take the Columbia Gorge Express from Portland to Hood River. From Hood River, you will need to arrange for a rental car or rideshare service, as public transportation does not directly reach White River Falls State Park. Follow the car directions from Hood River provided above to reach the park.

Car from Maupin
If you're coming from Maupin, OR, head north on Highway 197 for about 9 miles, then turn right onto White River Road. Continue for a few miles, and you'll find the entrance to White River Falls State Park on your right. This route provides direct access to the park from the nearby town.
