Car
From any location in Crook County, head towards US-97. If you're starting in Prineville, take NE 3rd St south until you reach US-97. Once you are on US-97, head north. Continue on US-97 for approximately 20 miles, then take the exit for Smith Rock State Park (exit 135). Follow the signs to the park entrance. There is an entrance fee of $5 for a day use vehicle.
Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, you can take a bus from Prineville to Redmond via the Central Oregon Breeze service. Check the schedule on their website for current routes and times. Once you arrive in Redmond, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to Smith Rock State Park, which is about 15 miles away. Be aware that additional costs will apply for the taxi or rideshare service, and it is advisable to check the fare estimates beforehand.
