Car
From the center of Redmond, Oregon, head northeast on US-97 N. Continue on US-97 N for about 16 miles until you reach the exit for Terrebonne. Take the exit toward Terrebonne and merge onto NE 8th St. Continue onto Smith Rock Way, which will lead you directly to the Smith Rock State Park area. The Smith Rock Bivouac Area is located within the park. Once you enter the park, follow the signs for the Bivouac Area, where you can find parking. There is a parking fee of $5 per vehicle, which can be paid at the park entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Smith Rock Bivouac Area via public transportation, first take a bus from Bend to Redmond using the Central Oregon Breeze service. Once in Redmond, you'll need to take a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Smith Rock State Park.
