If you are traveling by car, start from Bend, the largest city in Deschutes County. Head south on US-97 S for approximately 20 miles. Take the exit for OR-31 S toward La Pine. Continue on OR-31 S for about 15 miles until you reach the Newberry National Volcanic Monument entrance. Once you enter the monument, follow the signs to the Newberry Caldera, which will take you to the main attractions of Newberry Volcano. There is a parking fee of $5.00 for a day pass at the monument.
