To reach Harney County Historical from anywhere in Grant County, first locate US-395 S. If you are in John Day, head south on 1st Ave toward W Main St, then turn left onto W Main St which will merge into US-395 S. Follow US-395 S for approximately 28 miles until you reach the junction with OR-78 W in Burns. Continue on US-395 S for about 19 miles until you reach Burns. Once in Burns, turn left onto W D St. The Harney County Historical Society will be on your right at 18 W D St. Parking is available on the street.
