If you are driving, start from downtown Hood River. Head east on Oak Street toward 1st Street, then turn right onto 1st Street and merge onto I-84 E. Continue on I-84 E for approximately 15 miles. Take exit 87 for The Dalles. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto US-197 N. Follow US-197 N for about 8 miles. Turn left onto Rock Fort Road and follow the signs to Rock Fort. Note that parking may be limited, so be prepared for a short walk.
