Continue on Highway 30 for approximately 12 miles. You'll see signs for Viento State Park; turn right onto the park entrance. Keep an eye out for the park's GPS coordinates: 45.6957691, -121.6660362 to ensure you're on the right track.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, begin by taking the Columbia Area Transit (CAT) bus from Hood River to Cascade Locks. The bus services can be checked for schedules and stops on the CAT website. Once you arrive at Cascade Locks, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to Viento State Park. Head northeast on SW 1st Street, then turn left onto SW Cascade Avenue. Follow Cascade Avenue until you reach the park entrance. Please be aware that the bus fare may incur a cost, typically around $1.50 one way.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, from downtown Hood River, take the scenic route along the Historic Columbia River Highway.
