Start at the Hood River Transit Center, located at 2100 Cascade Ave. Board the Columbia Area Transit (CAT) Route 660 towards Cascade Locks. The bus will take you on a scenic route along the Columbia River. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes, and get off at the 'Cascade Locks' stop. From there, walk east on NE Herman Loop for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Bonneville Fish Hatchery at 70543 NE Herman Loop.

If you prefer biking, rent a bike from a local shop in Hood River, such as Hood River Bicycles. Head east on Oak St towards 2nd St, then turn right onto 2nd St which becomes Cascade Ave. Follow Cascade Ave until you reach the Eastside Road. Turn left onto Eastside Road and follow it for about 4 miles until you reach NE Herman Loop. Turn right and continue for another 0.5 miles to the Bonneville Fish Hatchery.
