Garnier Vineyards: A Hidden Gem in Oregon's Wine Country

Bicycle

If you're starting from downtown Hood River, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Head east on Oak Street until you reach the intersection with 2nd Street, then turn left. Continue on 2nd Street until you reach the waterfront, where you'll find the scenic Columbia River Gorge bike path. Follow this path heading east along the river, enjoying the stunning views. Stay on the path until you reach the bridge that crosses the river into Mosier. Once on the Mosier side, continue straight on US-30 for about 2.5 miles. Garnier Vineyards will be on your right at 8467 US-30.

Public Transit

From Hood River, you can take the Columbia Area Transit bus service. Look for the bus route that goes towards Mosier. You can catch the bus at the main transit stop in downtown Hood River, located at 4th and Oak Street. Check the bus schedule online or at the transit station for the latest times. The bus will take you to Mosier, and you'll want to get off at the stop closest to US-30. From there, walk east on US-30 for about 10 minutes, and you will find Garnier Vineyards on your right at 8467 US-30.

Walking

If you're feeling adventurous and have a good pair of walking shoes, you can walk from downtown Hood River to Garnier Vineyards. Start on Oak Street and head east, then turn left onto 2nd Street. Follow 2nd Street to the waterfront path and continue east along the scenic Columbia River Gorge bike path. After about 3.5 miles, you will reach the Mosier Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue on US-30 for approximately 2.5 miles. Garnier Vineyards will be on your right at 8467 US-30. This walk is about 6 miles one way, so plan accordingly!
