Walking
Start at the Hood River waterfront park, which is a popular area for tourists. From the waterfront, head east on Oak Street until you reach 2nd Street. Turn left onto 2nd Street and walk north until you reach the intersection with State Street. Turn right onto State Street and continue until you reach the Eastside Road. Turn left onto Eastside Road and follow it for approximately 3 miles. Panorama Point County Park will be on your left, marked by a small sign. The walk will take about an hour and offers beautiful views along the way.
Biking
From downtown Hood River, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops. Begin your journey at the intersection of Oak Street and 1st Street, then head east on Oak Street. Turn left onto 2nd Street and go north until you reach State Street. Take a right on State Street and ride until you reach Eastside Road. Turn left onto Eastside Road and bike for about 3 miles. You will find Panorama Point County Park on your left. The biking route is scenic and will take around 20-30 minutes.
Public Transit (Bus)
Catch the Columbia Area Transit (CAT) bus from the downtown Hood River area. Look for the bus route that goes towards Eastside Road. Board the bus and inform the driver that you’re going to Panorama Point County Park. The bus will have scheduled stops, and you should disembark at the nearest stop to Eastside Road. From there, you may need to walk approximately half a mile to reach the park entrance. Check the CAT bus schedule for the latest timings and routes.
