Get off at the Cascade Locks stop, which is near the entrance to Viento State Park.

Start at downtown Hood River and head east on Oak Street towards the Columbia River Gorge. Follow the Waterfront Trail, which runs along the river and offers beautiful views. Continue on the trail until you reach the intersection with Interstate 84. Use the pedestrian bridge to cross over the freeway.
