If you're traveling by car, head to Madras via US-26 E. From anywhere in Jefferson County, make your way to US-97 N. Once on US-97 N, take the exit for US-26 E toward Madras/Prineville. Continue on US-26 E until you reach E Ashwood Rd. Turn left onto E Ashwood Rd and follow it until you reach the Madras East Hills Trail System, which is located on your left side. There is no parking fee, and the trails are open year-round.
