If you're driving, start from Madras, which is a central location in Jefferson County. Head south on US-97 S for approximately 20 miles. Take the exit for OR-197 S towards Maupin. Continue on OR-197 S for about 15 miles until you reach Maupin. Once in Maupin, turn left onto White River Rd. Follow White River Rd for about 7 miles, and you will arrive at the entrance of White River Falls State Park. Parking is available on-site, and there are no entrance fees. Make sure to check the park hours, which are from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily.
Public Transportation
If you're relying on public transportation, take a bus from Madras to Maupin. You will need to check the local bus schedule as services may vary. Once you reach Maupin, you can either walk or use a rideshare service to get to White River Rd. The distance from Maupin to the park is approximately 7 miles, and walking may take around 2 hours. Biking
For the more adventurous, biking from Maupin to White River Falls State Park is a great option. Start in Maupin and head southwest on White River Rd.
