Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car within Lake County, start on OR-31 S from any location in the county. Follow OR-31 S for approximately 30 miles until you reach the intersection with US-97. Turn right onto US-97 N and continue for about 22 miles. Take the exit toward OR-197 S and turn left onto OR-197 S. After about 12 miles, turn right onto White River Rd. Follow White River Rd for approximately 5 miles until you reach the entrance of White River Falls State Park.

• Public Transportation

  Public transportation options may be limited in this area. However, you can take a Greyhound bus to The Dalles, OR. From there, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to get to White River Falls State Park since there are no direct public transit routes to the park. Ensure you check the bus schedule ahead of time for availability.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer biking, you can use the same route as cars. Start on OR-31 S and follow the same directions. Please ensure you have appropriate gear, and be aware that some roads may not have bike lanes. Always wear a helmet and follow traffic rules.

• Walking

  Walking to White River Falls State Park from nearby towns is feasible but may not be practical due to the distance. If you are in Maupin, you can walk along the scenic White River Rd, which is about 5 miles from the town center. Ensure that you are prepared for a long walk and that you have enough water and supplies.
