Getting There

    From any location in Linn County, head towards Highway 20. If you're in Albany, take Highway 20 East towards Lebanon. If you're in Lebanon, continue on Highway 20 East. Follow signs for Santiam Pass and stay on Highway 20 for approximately 15 miles. Look for the signs for the McKenzie River area. Turn onto Highway 126 East towards McKenzie Bridge. After about 27 miles, you will reach the area near Tamolitch Falls. Look for the Tamolitch Falls Trailhead parking area on the left side of the highway. It’s a popular spot, so parking can fill up quickly, especially on weekends.

  • Public Transportation

    Traveling by public transport can be challenging as there are no direct bus routes to Tamolitch Falls. However, you can take a bus from Albany to Eugene using the Linn-Benton Loop (Route 25) and then transfer to the Lane Transit District bus (Route 91) towards McKenzie River. After reaching McKenzie Bridge, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to the Tamolitch Falls Trailhead, as it is approximately 8 miles away and public transport does not go directly to the falls.

    Once you have parked at the Tamolitch Falls Trailhead, prepare for a scenic 2.25-mile hike to the falls.
