Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the center of Linn County. Head north on OR-99E N toward Albany. Merge onto I-5 N toward Portland. Take exit 228 for OR-126 E toward Springfield. Continue on OR-126 E for approximately 30 miles. After reaching McKenzie Bridge, turn left onto McKenzie River Dr. Follow the road for about 5 miles, and you will see signs for Sahalie Falls Viewpoint. There is a parking area at the viewpoint.

• Public Transportation

  Using public transportation, you can take a bus from Albany to Eugene. From Eugene, transfer to a shuttle service that goes to McKenzie Bridge. Make sure to check the shuttle schedules in advance. Once you arrive at McKenzie Bridge, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare to reach Sahalie Falls Viewpoint, which is about a 5-mile trip from the bridge.   For cyclists, you can ride your bike from McKenzie Bridge to Sahalie Falls Viewpoint. The route follows McKenzie River Dr. The distance is about 5 miles, and the ride offers scenic views of the river and surrounding forest. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow road safety rules, as this route may have vehicle traffic.
