Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from anywhere in Mt. Hood Territory, take US-26 E towards Mt. Hood. Continue on US-26 for approximately 25 miles until you reach the junction with OR-35. Merge onto OR-35 N and follow it for about 18 miles. Then, turn right onto I-84 E and follow the signs for Hood River. Take exit 64 toward Hood River/US-30, and merge onto US-30 W. After about 1 mile, you will see signs for Railroad Street. Turn left onto Railroad Street, and Mount Hood Railroad will be on your right at 110 Railroad Street, Hood River, OR 97031.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Mount Hood Railroad using public transportation, start by taking a bus from any location in Mt. Hood Territory to the nearest major city, which is Hood River. You can use the Columbia Area Transit (CAT) bus service, which operates routes connecting various areas in the region. Once in Hood River, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Mount Hood Railroad located at 110 Railroad Street. The walk is approximately 0.5 miles and should take around 10-15 minutes. Be sure to check the CAT bus schedule for current routes and fares, which may range from $1 to $3.
