Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Portland, take I-84 East towards The Dalles. Continue on I-84 for approximately 20 miles. Take exit 22 for Historic Columbia River Hwy. There is no entrance fee to visit Vista House, but parking is limited, so arrive early if possible.

  To reach Vista House via public transport, take the MAX Light Rail Blue Line from downtown Portland to the Gateway Transit Center. From there, transfer to the Columbia Gorge Express bus service heading towards Multnomah Falls. The bus will take you along the scenic Historic Columbia River Highway.
