If you are traveling by car from any point within Smith Rock State Park, start by exiting the park onto Smith Rock State Park Road. Turn left onto the Crooked River Highway (Oregon Route 97). Continue on this road for approximately 6 miles. Take the exit towards Redmond and merge onto US-97 N. After about 4 miles, take exit 139 for Redmond. Continue on SW 6th St. and follow signs for Quince Park. The park entrance will be on your right.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, check for local bus services that operate from Smith Rock State Park to Redmond. You may need to take a bus to Redmond Transit Center. From there, transfer to a local bus that goes towards Quince Park. Ensure to check the bus schedules ahead of time as they may vary. The nearest bus stop to Quince Park is on SW 27th St., within walking distance of the park.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from a nearby location in Smith Rock State Park, you can follow the Crooked River Trail south toward the Crooked River Highway. Upon reaching the highway, you will need to cross carefully and continue walking north along the roadside toward Redmond. This is not the most direct route, but it will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
