Getting There

  • Car

    If you're starting from Eugene, OR, take OR-58 E from US-97 S, which takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Drive east on OR-58 for approximately 50 miles. Look for signs for Willamette Pass Ski Area. Continue until you reach the junction with Forest Road 5830, which leads to the Diamond Peak Wilderness area. Follow this road until you reach the various trailheads that access the wilderness. Be aware that some roads may be unpaved and require a high-clearance vehicle.

  • Car from Medford

    From Medford, head north on I-5. Take exit 30 towards OR-62 E. Continue on OR-62 E for about 35 miles. Merge onto OR-230 N and continue for 13 miles. Then turn onto OR-58 W and follow the signs towards Willamette Pass. Look for Forest Road 5830 to access the Diamond Peak Wilderness. Allow approximately 2 hours for this route.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are relying on public transportation, take a bus from Eugene to Oakridge via the Lane Transit District. From Oakridge, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Diamond Peak Wilderness area as public transport does not reach the wilderness directly.
