If you're starting from downtown The Dalles, head north on East 2nd Street. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with East 6th Street. Turn right on East 6th Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn left onto Washington Street and continue walking until you reach the banks of the Columbia River. From here, you can follow the riverbank to the west, which will lead you towards The Dalles Bridge. You'll eventually reach the bridge, which crosses over to Dallesport, WA.

Begin your journey at the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center located at 5000 Discovery Drive. From there, head north on Discovery Drive until you reach the junction with East 2nd Street. Turn left onto East 2nd Street and continue until you reach the intersection with East 6th Street, where you should turn right. Follow East 6th Street until you reach Washington Street, then make a left. Continue on Washington Street until you arrive at the Columbia River. Follow the riverbank path westwards, which will take you directly to The Dalles Bridge.
