From the central Umpqua Valley area, head east on OR-138 E toward Crater Lake. Continue on OR-138 for approximately 25 miles. As you approach the junction with OR-230, look for signs directing you to Mt. Thielsen. Turn right onto OR-230 S and follow the signs for an additional 10 miles. You will see signs for Mt. Thielsen County Park. The road will lead you to the parking area near the base of the mountain. Please note that parking fees may apply, so be prepared with cash or a card.
