Car
If you're starting in Enterprise, OR, take OR-82 East towards La Grande. After about 15 miles, turn left onto OR-3 North. Continue on OR-3 for approximately 30 miles until you reach the junction with Imnaha Road. Turn right onto Imnaha Road and follow it for about 20 miles until you reach the town of Imnaha. From Imnaha, continue on NF-490 (Forest Road 490) for about 8 miles. The Hells Canyon Overlook will be on your left. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the overlook.
Car
If you're coming from Joseph, OR, start by heading southeast on OR-350. After about 6 miles, turn right onto OR-82 West. Follow OR-82 for about 13 miles and then turn left onto OR-3 North. Stay on OR-3 for about 30 miles, then turn right onto Imnaha Road. Continue for approximately 20 miles to Imnaha, and then follow NF-490 for about 8 miles to reach Hells Canyon Overlook on your left.
Public Transportation
Currently, there is no direct public transportation to Hells Canyon Overlook. Visitors are encouraged to rent a car or use rideshare services once they arrive in Wallowa County. The nearest public transit is available through the Wallowa County Transit system, which can get you to Enterprise or Joseph. From there, you will need to arrange for a rental car or rideshare to continue to Hells Canyon Overlook.
