Car
If you are driving from Joseph, OR, head south on OR-82 for approximately 6 miles. Take a left onto the Hurricane Creek Road (Forest Service Road 77) and continue for about 9 miles. You will reach the Hurricane Creek Trailhead parking area. Be aware that the road may be gravel and can be rough in places, so a high-clearance vehicle is recommended.
Public Transportation + Car
If you are using public transportation, take a bus from La Grande to Joseph. Once in Joseph, you will need to rent a car, as there is no public transportation directly to Hurricane Creek Trailhead. Follow the directions provided for cars from Joseph, heading south on OR-82 and then onto Hurricane Creek Road.
Hiking
For those who are nearby and prefer a more adventurous route, consider hiking from the nearest trail. If you are in the Eagle Cap Wilderness area, you can reach the trailhead by hiking along established trails, but this requires good navigation skills and preparation.
