Car
If you are driving from Joseph, OR, take OR-82 east towards Enterprise. After about 10 miles, merge onto US-95 south towards Riggins, ID. Continue on US-95 for approximately 45 miles until you reach Riggins. Once in Riggins, follow local signs to Kirkwood Ranch, which is located just off the river near the Salmon River, approximately 7 miles south of the town center.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from La Grande or Pendleton to Boise, ID. From Boise, take a Greyhound or a local bus service towards Riggins, ID. Once you arrive in Riggins, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to get to Kirkwood Ranch, located about 7 miles south of the town center.
Bicycle
For the adventurous, biking from Joseph to Kirkwood Ranch is an option. Follow OR-82 east and then US-95 south. The ride is approximately 55 miles and features beautiful scenic views. Ensure you have adequate supplies and check the weather, as the roads can be remote. Note that there are no bike lanes on the highways, so ride carefully.
Hiking
