Driving
If you're driving from the town of Joseph, head south on OR-82 for approximately 6 miles. Turn left onto Wallowa Lake Highway (OR-351) and continue for about 4 miles. The Wallowa Lake Lodge will be on your left at 60060 Wallowa Lake Hwy, Joseph, OR 97846. Parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation
If using public transportation, you can take the local bus service from Joseph to Wallowa Lake. Check the schedule for the latest times, as the bus service may not run frequently. Once you arrive at the Wallowa Lake bus stop, the lodge is about a 10-minute walk down Wallowa Lake Highway. Follow the highway south until you see the lodge on your left.
Biking
For those interested in biking, you can cycle from Joseph to Wallowa Lake. Follow OR-82 south for about 6 miles, then take a left onto Wallowa Lake Highway. The ride will take you through beautiful scenery and is about 10 miles in total. Ensure you wear a helmet and be cautious of traffic.
Walking
If you're staying in Joseph and prefer to walk, take the same route as mentioned for biking. It’s advisable to start early in the morning as it’s about a 2-hour walk (10 miles). Follow OR-82 south, then turn left onto Wallowa Lake Highway. Although it’s a scenic route, be sure to stay on the side of the road and be mindful of vehicles.
