Car
If you're traveling by car, start by entering the nearest major road, which is Highway 26. Head east or west depending on your starting point in Washington County. Take the exit for Timber Junction (OR-6) and then merge onto OR-6 N. After approximately 10 miles, turn left onto NF-16. Follow this road for about 5 miles, and then take a right onto NF-14. Continue for another 2 miles until you reach the Historic Old Cabin Ruins, which will be located on the right. There is no fee for parking at this historical site.
Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, you can start by taking TriMet Bus Line 57 from Hillsboro Transit Center. Get off at the stop for Timber Junction. From there, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service as public transport does not reach the Historic Old Cabin Ruins directly. The taxi ride will take about 15-20 minutes and may cost around $25 to $35 depending on traffic. Be sure to check local schedules for the most current bus times.
