Car
To reach Riley Ranch Nature Reserve by car, start from Prineville, the largest city in Crook County. Head west on US-26 towards Bend. Continue on US-26 for approximately 20 miles until you reach the roundabout in Bend. Take the second exit onto COUCH RD, and then take a right onto 27th St. Continue on 27th St until you reach the intersection with Glen Vista Rd. Turn left onto Glen Vista Rd, and the entrance to Riley Ranch Nature Reserve will be on your left at 19975 Glen Vista Rd. There is no parking fee at the reserve.
Public Transportation
Currently, public transportation options may be limited in Crook County. However, you can take a bus from Prineville to Bend via the Crook County Transit. The bus stops at various locations in Bend. Once in Bend, you may need to use a rideshare service or taxi to get to Riley Ranch Nature Reserve at 19975 Glen Vista Rd, which is approximately a 10-minute drive from the bus station. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance and plan your return trip accordingly.
Biking
If you're feeling adventurous and want to bike to Riley Ranch Nature Reserve, start from downtown Bend. Head south on 3rd St and follow the signs for the Deschutes River Trail. This scenic route offers beautiful views and will lead you towards Glen Vista Rd. Once you reach Glen Vista Rd, turn left and continue until you see the entrance to the reserve. Note that this route may be approximately 10 miles and could take over an hour depending on your biking speed.
