From the town of Fossil, head east on Highway 26 for about 24 miles. Then, turn onto Oregon Route 19 South and continue for approximately 20 miles until you reach the junction with Forest Road 33. Turn left onto Forest Road 33, which will take you into the Ochoco National Forest. Follow the road for about 12 miles until you reach the Ochoco Mountains. Be sure to check road conditions as they can vary seasonally.

If you are in the town of Mitchell, take Highway 26 west for 18 miles. Then, turn onto Oregon Route 19 North. After about 11 miles, turn right onto Forest Road 33.
